About the Role

The Planner, Mechanical Maintenance will plan and prepare work packages for the Clean Energy Center (CEC) maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution in compliance with the QA manual, company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards. Key duties include creating work instructions for corrective, preventive, and surveillance maintenance, selecting and approving purchases, conducting field walkdowns, and collaborating with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve package issues. The role also involves defining required procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials, preparing permits and regulatory documentation, verifying compliance with CEC and nuclear standards, and reviewing packages for safety, quality, and technical rigor. Additional responsibilities cover developing and revising maintenance procedures, providing project management for other planners or contractors, participating in work‑control and scheduling meetings, performing detailed reviews (e.g., EQR2, OPEX, risk requests), and supporting emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage activities as needed. • Plan and prepare mechanical maintenance work packages for the Clean Energy Center, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with QA and regulatory standards. • Create detailed work instructions for corrective, preventive, and surveillance tasks and approve procurement of required materials. • Conduct field walkdowns to identify maintenance needs and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve issues. • Prepare and submit permits, regulatory documentation, and ALARA task outs required for work package execution. • Verify that work instructions meet CEC procedures, nuclear safeguards, ASME Code, and 10CFR50.59 screening criteria. • Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to support work package development and code compliance. • Provide project management oversight for other planners or contractors contributing to package preparation. • Participate in scheduling, risk review, and operating experience meetings to ensure alignment with CEC processes. • Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage activities as required.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience, or a current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with two years of experience, or an associate’s degree with three years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with four years of related experience, plus required access and medical clearances. Preferred qualifications include five years of experience in nuclear power plant operations. • Required qualifications: bachelor’s degree + 2 years experience (or equivalent combinations) and necessary access/medical clearances. • Preferred qualification: 5 years of nuclear power plant operations experience.
