About the Role
The Production Technician assembles, fits, and mounts sub‑assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. They also perform assembly tasks required for test preparation and final inspection, using established power‑checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical and mechanical integrity. All assignments must meet quantity and perfect quality requirements within the assigned functions. Panelboards and switchboards are assembled to customer specifications based on electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions, employing hand and power tools. Finished products are inspected and tested to maintain quality standards and ensure conformance with specifications and codes. The technician communicates and escalates problem areas or parts shortages to keep jobs on schedule. • Assemble, fit, and mount sub‑assemblies and components in electrical control equipment. • Prepare units for testing and conduct final inspections using power‑checking procedures. • Build panelboards and switchboards according to electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. • Inspect and test finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and codes. • Report problems or parts shortages to maintain job timelines. • Suggest Lean improvements for quality, processes, and safety. • Participate in health‑and‑safety training and maintain a 5S‑organized work area.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of assembly‑related experience using hand or power tools, or a one‑year technical school diploma from an accredited institution. A high school diploma or GED is required, and CNC bus fabrication, press‑brake, or related experience is preferred. No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates residing within 50 miles of the work location are considered, except for active‑duty military members who are exempt from this limitation. Experience with wiring diagrams, schematics, power flow, measuring tools, torque tolerance, and hardware assembly is essential. Proficiency in using various tools—including manual/electric tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, and template fixtures—is expected, along with the ability to work overtime when required and to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions. • Cross‑train and flex across functions as needed. • Minimum one year of assembly experience or a technical school diploma; high school diploma/GED required. • Residency within 50 mi of the work site (military exempt); no relocation assistance provided. • Experience with CNC bus fabrication, press brake, wiring diagrams, torque tolerances, and various hand/electric tools. • Ability to work overtime and follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.
