About the Role
In this position you will collaborate closely with project coordinators, managers, senior directors, and field technicians, preparing health and safety as well as emergency response plans for each field program. You will train junior staff on environmental practices such as Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, remediation oversight, and site‑specific health and safety protocols. Your duties include compiling data, writing detailed reports with conclusions and recommendations, and supporting the RPM team in health and safety, project management, and client service responsibilities. • Plan and prepare two annual field programs, including health & safety and emergency response plans. • Participate in remote field work (winter and summer) on rotating two‑week shifts. • Train junior staff on Phase I/II ESAs, drilling, sampling, remediation oversight, and site safety. • Compile data, write reports, and deliver conclusions and recommendations. • Collaborate with project coordinators, managers, senior directors, and field technicians. • Support RPM team with health & safety, project management, and client service responsibilities.

What You Bring
We are seeking an engineer or environmental scientist with 4‑6 years of experience to join the RPM team, which operates across Canada. The role involves planning two annual field programs, participating in field work, and preparing post‑field reports, while benefiting from mentorship, career progression, and employee resource groups. The role requires field work in remote locations during two seasonal programs, working in two‑week on/off rotations, with a maximum of three shifts per program. Candidates must hold a university degree or diploma in engineering or natural/earth sciences, possess 4‑6 years of field experience in contaminated‑site assessments, and have experience working in remote or camp settings. A safety‑conscious attitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and a professional designation (or being a professional‑in‑training) are preferred. • Hold a university degree/diploma in engineering or natural/earth sciences with 4‑6 years field experience. • Demonstrate strong safety consciousness and ability to work in remote/camp settings. • Preferred professional designation or professional‑in‑training status.
