About the Role

The assistant will aid in golf‑course construction projects by supervising the site, managing schedules, tracking subcontractor milestones, and ensuring timely client communication. Responsibilities include overseeing self‑perform and outside labor, quality control, material procurement, and delivering punch‑list completion to meet customer expectations. In addition to construction duties, the role supports ongoing golf‑course maintenance, covering mowing, fertilization, pest control, irrigation, drainage, and turf management to maintain optimal playing conditions year‑round. The incumbent will supervise planting, equipment repair, inventory, safety protocols, and coordinate with other departments on landscape and grounds projects. • Supervise site work on golf‑course construction projects and manage subcontractor schedules. • Track material procurement and maintain project timelines to ensure on‑time completion. • Conduct quality control inspections and complete punch‑list turn‑overs for client satisfaction. • Oversee mowing, fertilization, pest control, irrigation, and drainage to sustain optimal turf conditions. • Manage equipment maintenance, repair shop operations, and inventory of grounds tools. • Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance personnel; maintain accurate work records. • Implement and enforce safety programs and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. • Develop and update comprehensive turf‑management and grounds manuals. • Maintain effective communication with clients, members, and internal departments regarding project milestones and maintenance activities.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in turf management, agronomy, horticulture or a related field (preferred) and have 3‑5 years of golf‑course maintenance experience, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity. A valid driver’s license and pesticide applicator’s license (or ability to obtain) are required, along with strong communication, teamwork, and physical stamina. • Hold a bachelor's degree in turf management or related field and 3‑5 years of relevant experience. • Possess at least two years of supervisory experience and a valid driver’s license; pesticide applicator’s license required or obtainable.
