About the Role
Key duties include preparing apartments for occupancy (painting, drywall repair, trash removal, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work), responding to resident service requests, repairing systems such as electrical, plumbing, boilers, HVAC, and appliances, and performing carpentry and painting tasks. The technician also cleans pools, monitors chemical balance, maintains logs, and conducts daily grounds maintenance, including trash removal, pet waste management, and walkway sweeping. Participation in preventive maintenance, on-call rotation, and ensuring market-ready apartments and common areas meet Weidner’s quality standards are required. • Prepare apartments for occupancy (painting, drywall repair, trash removal, mechanical, plumbing, electrical work) • Respond to resident service requests promptly • Repair electrical, plumbing, boilers, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, and appliances • Perform carpentry and interior/exterior painting, including touch‑up work • Clean and maintain swimming pools, monitor chemical balance, and keep required logs • Conduct daily grounds maintenance: trash collection, pet waste removal, sweep walkways • Participate in preventive maintenance tasks and on‑call rotation • Ensure market‑ready apartments, common areas, and amenities meet quality standards

What You Bring
Candidates must have 1–2 years of maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude. Physical requirements include lifting up to 80 lb, climbing ladders and stairs, and pushing/pulling up to 200 lb with an appliance dolly. The role requires knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pool maintenance, irrigation, and HVAC systems; certifications such as HVAC, CPO, EPA, or CAMT are desired. The technician must complete tasks safely and efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment, and communicate professionally via phone, email, or text. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Yardi, and Paycom is preferred, and the ability to learn new software is required. Candidates must adhere to Weidner’s mission, policies, Fair Housing laws, maintain regular attendance, wear the uniform, and possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance, and reliable transportation. Background check and voluntary drug testing are required. • Possess 1–2 years of maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude • Lift up to 80 lb, climb ladders/stairs, and move up to 200 lb with a dolly • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pool, irrigation, and HVAC systems • Desired certifications: HVAC, CPO, EPA, CAMT • Communicate clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Yardi and Paycom experience preferred • Pass background check and voluntary drug testing • Maintain a valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance, and reliable transportation
