About the Role

The operator keeps the work area clean, orderly, and safe, and operates housekeeping equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, and pressure washers. All tasks are performed safely and in compliance with federal, state and company regulations. Primary duties include operating the deep well to meet productivity goals, monitoring wellhead pressure, tank readings, and capacities, and making decisions as needed. The employee prepares, maintains, and tracks daily operational records and regulatory documentation, and manages preventive and corrective maintenance files. Additional responsibilities involve maintaining well injection parameters within permit limits, interacting professionally with customers and vendors, operating heavy equipment like forklifts and excavators, and performing other job‑related duties as required.

What You Bring

The Deep Well Operator works with minimal supervision, follows broad work instructions, and uses decision‑making skills to resolve moderately complex issues. The incumbent provides guidance to less experienced team members and may supervise other operators or laborers. The role ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other wastewater‑treatment systems remain operational at all times. The role requires the ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures, write reports and correspondence, and comprehend operational, safety and quality documentation. Candidates must understand chemical hazards, read safety data sheets, and apply appropriate mitigation measures. They should proactively suggest improvements, report unsafe conditions, exhibit a positive attitude and mental resilience, and adhere to company safety policies. Basic computer proficiency and effective presentation skills for interacting with management, internal and external customers are also required. Applicants need 2–4 years of relevant experience, current 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (or the ability to complete it upon hire), and any required certifications for the facility. Experience operating and maintaining injection wells is essential. Four years of experience working at an OSHA‑regulated site is preferred.
