Asphalt Plant Operative

About the Role

Daily duties include operating the plant, performing weighbridge tasks such as weighing vehicles and loading asphalt, and communicating any production changes to the order office. The operative will plan the next day’s production based on customer requirements and plant capacity, run start‑up and shut‑down routines, and maximise throughput while adhering to site regimes. They will also monitor plant condition, keep accurate records, refuel machines, and operate mobile equipment for loading and mineral movement as required. • Operate, inspect and maintain the asphalt plant to produce high‑quality materials • Perform weighbridge duties: weigh vehicles, load asphalt accurately, and relay production changes • Plan daily production based on customer orders and plant capacity • Execute start‑up/shut‑down routines and maximise plant throughput • Monitor plant performance, keep records and conduct routine maintenance • Refuel static and mobile machines and operate mobile plant equipment safely

What You Bring

Certification by EPIC to operate mobile plant and an NVQ Level 2 in mobile plant operations are required, with training provided.
