About the Role
Operators will run various construction cranes, plan and execute lifts, inspect equipment, and ensure all safety protocols are followed. They may follow signals from a signaler and must access the work area to assess safety and plan operations. • Operate friction and rough‑terrain cranes (25‑140 T), including Manitowoc, Link Belt, and Kabelco models. • Plan and execute lift operations, inspect equipment, and adhere to all safety regulations. • Follow hand signals and directions from a signaler when required. • Perform equipment inspection paperwork and other administrative tasks accurately. • Use precise coordinated movements of fingers, hands, arms, legs, and feet.

What You Bring
Industrial Heavy Equipment Operators will operate one or more cranes to move heavy equipment from one location to another, often requiring changes in altitude. They must be proficient with both friction and rough terrain (RT) cranes. Candidates must hold current NCCCO crane operator credentials for the specific crane type and a valid DOT physical. A minimum of five years crane‑operating experience is required, along with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and necessary tools. Applicants need experience with a range of cranes (e.g., Manitowoc, Link Belt, Kabelco, RT cranes 25‑140 T), basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspection, and the ability to create load and lift plans. They must understand hand signals, follow instructions, complete administrative paperwork, and be reliable and accountable. The role involves prolonged sitting, verbal communication, and frequent use of arms, hands, and limbs to signal and operate controls. Workers may need to lift up to 50 lb, pass a visual acuity test, and wear required PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, vest, gloves, and leather boots. Required personal items include a rain coat and rain boots. • Hold current NCCCO certification for the specific crane type and a valid DOT physical. • Minimum 5 years of crane operating experience. • Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, reliable transportation, and required tools. • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lb and pass visual acuity assessment. • Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear protection, respirator, safety vest, gloves, leather boots; also carry rain coat and rain boots. • Possess basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance. • Must be reliable, accountable, and able to work scheduled hours and overtime with proper notice. • Preferred: current or former Zachry employee, formal technical education, experience with all listed crane types.
