About the Role

• Install residential wiring, lights, outlets, meters, panels, and devices. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit using hand and power tools. • Layout and install service entrance equipment and underground conduit for new homes. • Troubleshoot basic electrical systems and circuits under supervision. • Maintain tools, materials, and work areas safely and orderly. • Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and electrical codes. • Commit to safety and regulatory compliance. • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain. • Collaborate with journeymen and master electricians as a proactive team player.

What You Bring

KEP, a subsidiary of IES Residential, is looking for motivated Electrical Apprentices. Apprentices will work under experienced electricians to develop hands‑on skills in residential installations while operating in a safety‑focused environment. The role offers a pathway to grow an electrical career within the organization. • Pass drug screening and background check. • Hold a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Be registered or willing to register with CIB as an apprentice. • Have 0–2 years of residential electrical experience; technical training a plus. • Understand basic NEC requirements and residential building practices. • Possess solid communication skills and ability to follow direction. • Ability to read blueprints or diagrams (preferred). • Perform frequent standing, bending, kneeling, ladder climbing, and lift up to 50 lb. • Safety‑first culture with strong safety record.
