About the Role

The Service Controls Specialist role involves hands‑on preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of building automation control systems under general supervision. It emphasizes direct onsite customer interaction, problem‑solving, and thorough documentation, while offering opportunities to support senior specialists, project managers, engineers, and designers. • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of building automation control systems. • Maintain equipment schedules, report modifications, and communicate issues to the service team. • Recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs and assist with engineering estimates. • Manage assigned work to meet timelines and ensure high customer satisfaction. • Complete required documentation (time sheets, expense reports, work orders, on‑site reports) promptly. • Coordinate activities with service coordinators, account managers, and project managers. • Conduct self‑study and obtain certifications to stay technically proficient. • Adhere to ALC and customer safety standards and promote safety awareness on site.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years experience in BACnet, DDC wiring, panels, and BAS software. • Valid driver’s license, ability to climb >8 ft and lift up to 50 lb; travel within GTA and rotate on‑call schedule. • Technical or vocational diploma/certificate in HVAC, building automation, or engineering (preferred). • Ability to read/modify control logic, understand mechanical & electrical blueprints, and work with TCP/IP networks. • Strong communication, time‑management, and Microsoft Office skills; customer‑service focus. • Basic networking skills to maintain company laptop; proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel.
