What You Bring
The General Engineering Apprenticeship in London offers a sponsored pathway to a BEng in Railway Engineering, combining structured learning with hands‑on experience across systems design and hardware engineering. Apprentices rotate through design, estimation, programme planning and implementation, supporting bids, services and projects. Through the degree apprenticeship you will study at London South Bank University, gaining interdisciplinary knowledge to design, build, operate and manage complex rail infrastructure and systems, meeting the growing demand for sustainable transport professionals. We seek enthusiastic, self‑motivated individuals with a genuine interest in engineering. Candidates should be able to manage their time, show initiative, and demonstrate self‑discipline while aspiring to achieve a degree qualification. Entry requirements include A‑Level BBB (including maths or physical sciences) or equivalent qualifications such as BTEC DDM, EAL Technical Extended Diploma, Access to HE with strong maths/science components, and five GCSEs (A‑C) including English and Maths. Applications close at 11.59 pm on Sunday 29 March 2026, and successful candidates must have UK work permission by the start date. Some roles may require baseline security clearance.
