About the Role

You will be part of an international design and engineering team focused on power transformer design for multiple countries, influencing tender specifications, preparing electrical design quotations that meet IEEE/IEC/IS standards, and creating customer, manufacturing, and bill‑of‑materials documents according to project schedules. Your duties include coordinating design activities across a worldwide factory network, participating in internal design concept reviews, communicating with technical teams globally, and upholding Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. • Influence tender specifications and lead conceptual discussions. • Prepare electrical design quotations compliant with IEEE/IEC/IS standards and project timelines. • Create customer, manufacturing, and bill‑of‑materials documentation. • Coordinate design activities across a global factory network. • Participate in internal design concept reviews. • Collaborate with technical teams worldwide while upholding safety and integrity standards. • Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 9–12 years of experience in power transformer electrical design, possess solid knowledge of transformer electrical, thermal, dielectric, short‑circuit, and mechanical performance, and be familiar with IS/IEC/IEEE (and Canadian) standards. Experience with simulation or software development, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong spoken and written English are required; team‑building and networking skills are a plus. • Hold a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 9–12 years of power transformer design experience. • Demonstrate expertise in transformer electrical, thermal, dielectric, short‑circuit, sound performance, and mechanics. • Apply IS/IEC/IEEE (and Canadian) standards; simulation or software development experience is advantageous. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and possess strong written and spoken English skills. • Exhibit team‑building and networking abilities.
