Environmental Technician

What You Bring

• Strong written and oral communication skills, and moderate computer skills. • Possession of a valid driver's license and successful completion of a pre-employment motor vehicle records check to confirm a good driving record. Once hired, maintaining valid DOT driver status (not Commercial Driver’s License) is required. • Must be able to comfortably lift and carry 50 pounds. The testing projects can involve moving equipment to, and working at, elevated test locations, such as an exhaust stack platform or a rooftop. Access to the test location may be by elevator, stairs, or a ladder. • A college degree is required. A background in science or engineering is preferred but the willingness to learn is more important than your major. • Must be able to work comfortably outdoors throughout all the seasons. • Once hired, successful completion of all required annual safety training. • Successful completion of a background check and drug test (including marijuana) prior to employment or within five working days from the date of hire. Once hired, participation in the TRC random drug testing program is mandatory.
