About the Role
The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying wiring, components, program controllers, and conducting electrical testing of switchboard products to ensure timely order fulfillment and compliance with Eaton’s quality standards. • Inspect switchboard products and perform Hi‑Pot, continuity, and component‑specific electrical tests per work instructions and governmental requirements. • Verify proper operation of switches, circuit breakers, and torqued connections; document results on checklists and test reports. • Examine mating structures to ensure job completeness and compliance with splice plate dimensions and key coordination. • Ensure released revisions and customer specifications are incorporated; update paperwork accurately and communicate non‑conformances for rework. • Provide informal training to production associates and assist with complex tasks and unclear product requirements. • Troubleshoot, develop, and update test setups and procedures when existing methods are inaccurate.

What You Bring
Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the El Paso facility and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The role may require travel outside the continental United States to locations such as Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Canada. • Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of manufacturing, production, or military experience (or a technical degree), legal U.S. work authorization, and residence within 50 mi of the El Paso facility. • Preferred qualifications: 2 + years quality or inspector experience in manufacturing, switchboard assembly experience, computer literacy, Lean concepts, and an associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics. • Required skills: strong verbal and written communication, analytical problem‑solving, knowledge of basic electricity, schematics, UL/NEC codes, and ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents and drawings.
