About the Role
• Operate PVD chambers, set up machines, and run production changes. • Conduct quality inspections and monitor machine output, uptime, and yield. • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues. • Maintain 5S housekeeping, safety standards, and report hazards. • Generate continuous‑improvement ideas and solve problems using CI tools. • Follow standard work, control plans, and required documentation (SIs, MPS, QMS, ERP). • Meet attendance and disciplinary criteria for eligibility for promotion.

What You Bring

Success is measured by safety, quality, delivery, and productivity/cost metrics. Candidates must have prior machine operating experience, a color acuity score of 40 or less, and be qualified as a PQR Expert. Acceptable disciplinary and attendance records are required for promotion eligibility, and the employee must be able to work with limited supervision, lift up to 50 lb, and obtain or hold confined‑space and fall‑protection certifications. The role requires the ability to read and interpret safety rules, specifications, standard work instructions, and systems such as Delta’s MPS, SFM, QMS, and ERP. Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and reasoning ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions are also necessary. Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, and reaching regularly, with occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 lb. Benefits
The Specialty Operator 1 (PVD) works the first shift and earns $24.00 to $25.60 per hour depending on hire date. This role supports Technical Services by operating PVD chambers, performing quality inspections, basic preventive maintenance, and participating in continuous improvement activities. Communication and reliable attendance are essential.
