About the Role

The Senior Electrical & ICA Engineer will support the Resident Engineer by supervising, coordinating, and inspecting all electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation works for stormwater drainage systems, pumping stations, and related facilities in Dubai. The role ensures compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and AECOM’s quality and safety commitments while guiding junior staff. • Supervise and coordinate electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation works for stormwater networks and pumping stations. • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and test plans for compliance with specifications. • Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, inspection & test plans, and commissioning checklists. • Conduct inspections and witness testing of cable installations, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, control panels, and SCADA equipment. • Verify loop checks, control logic, PLC programming, and integration with SCADA networks. • Ensure adherence to IEC, IEEE, NFPA, DEWA, RTA standards and project design criteria. • Coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces to maintain proper sequencing of services. • Monitor contractor progress, report risks, deviations, and recommend corrective actions. • Support FAT/SAT, energization, and handover documentation during testing and commissioning. • Review as‑built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and training documents. • Provide technical guidance on design queries, RFIs, and change requests. • Enforce strict HSE compliance during electrical isolations, confined‑space work, and energization. • Evaluate progress claims, variation proposals, and technical submittals. • Mentor junior engineers and inspectors in quality assurance and safety best practices. • Participate in retirement savings plan, employee stock purchase plan, and service recognition awards. • Work on innovative, global infrastructure projects in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
