About the Role
The primary purpose is to lead project‑management commissions, ensuring end‑to‑end service delivery, meeting time, cost, and quality targets, and supporting clients in their transition to Net Zero. The role also includes providing support on larger commissions and managing specific aspects of service delivery. • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of project‑management commissions ranging from £1 m to £10 m. • Support major commissions by managing specific service‑delivery aspects. • Ensure projects meet client objectives, schedule, budget, and quality standards. • Guide clients toward Net Zero and broader sustainability goals. • Apply NEC contract principles and administer NEC/JCT/FIDIC contracts. • Coordinate multiple stakeholders within NEC contract frameworks. • Apply CDM and site health‑and‑safety knowledge to project execution.

What You Bring
The role is for a Project Manager within the Bristol Defence Infrastructure team, supporting construction infrastructure projects across the South, South‑West, and nationally. Applicants must be a sole UK national able to obtain and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC) due to the sensitive nature of the work. The position suits candidates with backgrounds in defence, rail, water/utilities, or highways and familiarity with NEC contracts. Candidates need at least five years of experience with NEC contracts, expertise in NEC/JCT/FIDIC administration, and strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills. A degree in infrastructure or construction is required, with chartered membership (ICE, APM, RICS) preferred. Security clearance eligibility must align with UK MoD requirements. • Communicate effectively through verbal, written, and presentation channels. • Solve strategic problems and drive self‑motivated decision‑making. • Demonstrate ≥5 years experience in NEC‑based project management. • Hold a degree in infrastructure or construction; chartered status (ICE, APM, RICS) preferred. • Maintain UK MoD Security Clearance eligibility as a sole UK national.
