About the Role
In this multi‑state role you will plan, oversee, and coordinate the physical workplace to align business and employee needs, manage and develop programs that maximize utilization of Xcel’s portfolio assets, and supervise both in‑house resources and external contractors performing operations and maintenance functions. You will ensure optimal building system performance, create short‑ and long‑term facility utilization and O&M plans, oversee contractor compliance with codes and safety standards, control costs for equipment and furnishings, and administer leases, contracts, policies, and vendor relations. The position serves as the primary liaison for Property Services, providing customer support, handling property use requests, coordinating projects with internal and external sources, communicating status and issues, and facilitating resolution of service delivery challenges. You will work with business units on long‑term asset‑facility planning, gather and review budget requests, make recommendations, resolve expense variances, produce reports, and monitor daily management processes to optimize property utilization. • Plan and coordinate workplace facilities to meet business and employee needs across multiple states. • Develop and implement programs that maximize utilization of Xcel Energy’s property assets. • Manage in‑house teams and external contractors for operations, maintenance, and technical projects. • Ensure building system performance, compliance with codes, health and safety standards, and cost controls. • Administer leases, contracts, vendor relations, and oversee maintenance, janitorial, and vending services. • Serve as primary liaison for Property Services, handling customer requests and resolving service issues. • Coordinate project schedules, monitor status, and communicate updates to business units. • Conduct financial and technical analysis, prepare budget recommendations, and resolve expense variances. • Support long‑term asset‑facility planning and recommend office space reconfigurations for optimal use.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, property management or a related field and at least five years of experience, with preferred IFMA, BOMA, or industry certifications; strong leadership, project, operations, technical analysis, budgeting, and communication skills are essential, as is knowledge of federal, state, and local codes. The role requires extensive travel across Xcel’s portfolio, proficiency with standard computer programs, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, property management or related field with 5+ years of experience; IFMA/BOMA certification preferred. • Demonstrate strong leadership, project management, operations, budgeting, and technical analysis skills. • Possess knowledge of OSHA, EEO, ADA, HAZMAT, workers’ compensation, building codes, zoning, HVAC, and high‑rise regulations. • Travel extensively across Xcel’s service area and proficiently use standard computer applications.
