About the Role
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and participate in stakeholder forums. • Serve as the on‑site main point of contact for the public and interested parties. • Communicate proactively about potential disruptions, such as traffic management, to keep residents informed. • Produce weekly reports summarising public and stakeholder communications. • Manage and update project information boards, social media channels, websites, and information centres. • Draft clear letters for Project Manager approval to keep local residents updated on upcoming works. • Handle public and stakeholder enquiries and complaints, maintaining a detailed compliments and complaints register. • Liaise with councillors and local councils to coordinate key project dates and ensure smooth communication. • Lead development and delivery of the project’s social value strategy, including employment and skills plans, milestones, accountability, and performance reporting aligned with TOMS and PPN/06 targets. • Collaborate with the project team to maximise social impact through effective communications and stakeholder engagement, coordinating regular external updates.

What You Bring
Candidates should have experience in public, community, or stakeholder engagement, strong verbal and written communication skills, and confidence in handling enquiries and complaints. The role requires an individual who can work independently and as part of a team, is approachable, positive, organised, proactive, and holds a full UK driving licence.
