About the Role
• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates throughout design and delivery phases. • Produce and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries and funding data to stakeholders. • Coordinate cost information from design teams, contractors, subcontractors and vendors for validation and auditing. • Compile built‑cost records for benchmarking and continuous improvement. • Lead procurement strategy, review contractor/subcontractor pricing and negotiate fair contract terms. • Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement on financial close‑outs. • Own change control lifecycle: review, estimate, negotiate and reconcile change orders. • Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning, contingency management and commitment tracking. • Implement robust cost control systems, including Earned Value Management where applicable. • Integrate cost data with schedule and scope, working closely with project controls teams. • Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact and lead value‑engineering initiatives. • Monitor market trends such as escalation, labor availability and material pricing to provide insights. • Act as the primary client interface, ensuring objectives are met and service excellence delivered. • Prepare and deliver executive‑level updates and written comments on contractor submissions. • Ensure compliance with internal Business Management Systems and company delivery methodologies. • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high‑performance, one‑business culture.

What You Bring
The firm is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to serve as the day‑to‑day client interface on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data‑center program. The role ensures the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards, with a strong focus on governance, commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a collaborative team, while embodying Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values and vision. • Demonstrate excellence in financial management, including margin tracking and fee forecasting. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field. • 5–7+ years of cost management/project controls experience in mission‑critical environments such as data centres. • Construction consultancy background preferred and strong understanding of MEP systems and hyperscale data‑centre infrastructure. • Solid foundation in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control systems and EVM. • Expertise in procurement strategies and commercial management of contractor and vendor contracts. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is advantageous. • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail. • Proficiency with industry‑standard cost management tools and software.

Benefits
