Oversee and expand the Special Projects Program for transportation/geotechnical work in the Southwest.

About the Role
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Special Projects Program, aligning with regional and national business goals. • Manage full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for transportation and heavy civil infrastructure projects. • Cultivate relationships with public agencies, DOTs, and infrastructure partners; lead client pursuits and ensure successful project delivery from proposal to completion. • Mentor a high‑performing team of project managers and technical staff, guiding complex technical decisions and QA/QC standards. • Collaborate across ECS subsidiaries to align project scopes, schedules, and fee structures, and ensure internal invoicing and tracking meet client expectations. • Refine and enhance internal tracking tools and systems to improve project visibility, reporting accuracy, and on‑time performance. • Develop and lead targeted training initiatives to equip staff for evolving client demands. • Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities within the region and engage in proactive marketing to expand ECS’s footprint. • Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, ensuring satisfaction, repeat business, and alignment with long‑term goals.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of geotechnical and civil construction experience, demonstrated executive leadership, and a strong track record in public‑sector business development. A licensed Professional Engineer credential and exceptional communication skills are essential. • 15+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, civil construction, or CMT as a professional engineer and project manager. • Proven regional or executive‑level leadership in civil engineering, geotechnical, or construction materials testing, especially on transportation and heavy civil consulting programs. • Strong background in public‑sector business development and project delivery (DOT, municipal, or large civil projects). • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage profit centers and lead cross‑functional teams across multiple geographies. • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) credential required.
