Job Highlights
About the Role
You will work the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 p.m. to midnight, with no weekend requirements, at the repair shop located at the Chardon, OH hauling site. Each day you will service the trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers, using modern tools to maintain both diesel and, at some locations, CNG vehicles. Your work ensures that the fleet remains reliable and safe for the communities we serve. The role involves diagnosing and repairing a range of systems, estimating repair costs, responding to emergency breakdowns, completing required paperwork, and keeping the shop clean and OSHA‑compliant. • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel and CNG trucks • Estimate time and material costs; work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Perform safety checks and document repairs, parts usage, and labor time • Assist senior mechanics and handle driver vehicle inspection report repairs • Maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area

What You Bring
• Stable Monday‑Friday second‑shift (3 pm‑12 am) with no weekends • Minimum 2 years relevant experience, valid driver’s license with clean record, 18+ years old, eligible to work in the U.S. • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical; able to meet physical demands (lifting, standing, exposure to hazards) • Team‑oriented, enjoys independent work, likes variety, and exhibits strong problem‑solving skills
