About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer will support the implementation and execution of the quality management plan for tunnel construction. This role is critical for ensuring that construction activities meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. • Assist in implementing the project‑specific Quality Management Plan aligned with company policies and industry standards. • Perform routine inspections and audits of construction activities, materials, and processes for compliance. • Document and report non‑conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with the Quality Control Manager. • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and compliance reports. • Prepare quality assurance reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards. • Communicate quality issues to project teams, ensuring prompt resolution and continuous improvement. • Deliver training and toolbox talks on quality control procedures and standards. • Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and best practices for tunnel construction. • Participate in project planning meetings and reviews, providing input on quality‑related matters.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • Have 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control monitoring construction activities. • Experience collecting, analyzing, and testing field samples. • Experience monitoring concrete pours and producing related test reports. • Experience inspecting concrete steel reinforcement and form work. • Certification such as CQA or CQE is a plus but not required. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving approach. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation tools.

Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 – $130,000 depending upon experience. No staffing agency candidates will be considered, and applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
