About the Role
The role coordinates the receipt, transfer, and shipping of raw materials as well as internal transfers of finished products, and pulls pigments for daily paint, stain, and varnish manufacturing. Key duties include operating a forklift safely, maintaining clean and orderly storage, completing spent‑drum inventory, executing shelf‑life rotation, receiving and returning railcars, and cleaning milling vats. The employee records liquid raw‑material movements in the computer system, monitors tank levels to assure production availability, maintains the dust collector in compliance with regulations, and participates on the spill‑response team for tank‑clean‑up. Additional responsibilities involve operating the trash compactor, assisting vendors with material hauling, unloading tank‑truck deliveries, obtaining sample approval, pumping materials into proper storage tanks, and coordinating dry‑goods deliveries. • Operate forklift safely to move and store materials. • Maintain spent‑drum inventory and rotate stock by shelf life. • Receive and return railcars; clean milling vats. • Record liquid raw‑material movements using SAP. • Monitor tank levels to ensure material availability for production. • Maintain dust collector in compliance with regulations. • Participate in spill response and clean‑up of storage tanks. • Operate trash compactor and assist vendors with material hauling. • Unload tank‑truck deliveries, obtain sample approval, and pump materials into storage tanks. • Coordinate delivery of dry goods and raw materials. • Follow OSHA, DOT, and environmental safety procedures. • Ensure proper storage of hazardous substances. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and co‑workers.

What You Bring
Proficiency with SAP inventory transactions, knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations, and the ability to organize and maintain raw materials and hazardous substances are required. The position requires a high‑school diploma or equivalent, some inventory control or warehousing experience, and the ability to follow instructions, keep basic work logs, and communicate effectively. Shift work and weekends may be required.
