About the Role

You will develop engineering designs, calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates that guide client and project decisions. You will review and mentor the work of other engineers and designers, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with industry standards. Collaboration with track, structural, buildings, systems, and environmental teams, as well as field reviews and technical support during construction, will be essential to delivering safe, compliant infrastructure. • Design and integrate civil infrastructure for major transit projects, including roadways, utilities, stormwater, and grading. • Produce engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates to support decision‑making. • Review and mentor the work of junior engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and constructability. • Coordinate with track, structural, buildings, systems, and environmental teams for seamless multidisciplinary integration. • Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during construction phases. • Identify design risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns. • Apply Metrolinx, City of Toronto, and other authority standards to ensure safe, compliant infrastructure.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings more than ten years of hands‑on civil design experience on rail, transit, or complex urban infrastructure projects and a deep knowledge of municipal and rail standards such as Metrolinx DRM and City of Toronto guidelines. A valid Ontario P.Eng. licence and proven collaboration with public agencies are required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office, with knowledge of MicroStation or InRoads considered an asset, along with a strong commitment to high‑quality, community‑focused outcomes, completes the profile. • Bring 10+ years of civil design experience on rail, transit, or complex urban infrastructure projects. • Hold a valid Ontario P.Eng. licence and familiarity with Metrolinx DRM, AERMA, and municipal guidelines. • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation or InRoads is an asset. • Thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments with engineers, designers, architects, and project managers.
