About the Role
The role focuses on onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring and managing the performance of all drivers and helpers. It requires establishing and maintaining positive relationships with frontline employees and spending the majority of the day in the field alongside them. Key responsibilities include providing new frontline employees with the tools, instruction and feedback they need for daily duties, conducting daily check‑ins, and maintaining regular communication touchpoints. The incumbent regularly reviews best practices, supports employee career goals, identifies improvement opportunities and leads safety initiatives, including root‑cause investigations and retraining. Documentation and audit of regulatory records such as DVIRs, driver attendance and tickets, as well as site visits to resolve safety issues, are also essential. • Onboard, develop, coach, mentor and manage performance of drivers and helpers. • Provide tools, instruction and feedback to new frontline employees. • Conduct daily check‑ins and maintain consistent communication with frontline staff. • Review best practices, support career goals and identify improvement opportunities. • Lead safety initiatives, conduct root‑cause investigations and ensure retraining. • Maintain and audit regulatory documentation (e.g., DVIRs, driver attendance, tickets). • Visit customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues and explore service alternatives. • Deliver regular touchpoints and coaching conversations to enhance daily performance.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are an associate’s degree or a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, legal eligibility to work in the country, a valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 18. Preferred candidates have successfully completed the WM Operations Manager Trainee program. The position operates in a hybrid office and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment.
