About the Role

The Driver‑CDL (B) role involves safely operating a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle meets company safety standards before each run, adhere to all company, state, and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. Core duties include performing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, reading route sheets, navigating assigned routes, loading and compacting refuse, and delivering material to disposal sites. The driver interacts professionally with customers, tags unsatisfactory containers, may handle hazardous materials, and can operate a hydrovac unit when required. Continuous vehicle monitoring, cleaning spills, and maintaining operational readiness are essential to minimize downtime and meet productivity standards. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and complete daily vehicle condition reports. • Safely operate a collection truck on assigned routes, read route sheets, and deliver waste to disposal sites. • Load, compact, and unload refuse while complying with size, weight, and parking regulations. • Interact courteously with customers, identify unsatisfactory containers, and tag them per procedures. • Process hazardous and non‑hazardous materials and operate a hydrovac unit as needed. • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, clean spills, and ensure operational readiness to minimize downtime. • Meet productivity standards to service all customers efficiently.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Class A or B commercial driver’s license with air‑brake endorsement, a DZ license, and current 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (or be able to complete it). They should have 2‑4 years of related driving experience, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to stay focused in a busy environment, and competence with navigation tools and basic log maintenance. • Hold a Class A/B commercial driver’s license with air‑brake endorsement and DZ license. • Possess current 40‑hour HAZWOPER training or ability to complete it upon hire. • Have 2‑4 years of related driving experience. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to focus in a busy environment.
