About the Role
The manager will oversee the design phase, estimating, and procurement for key projects, create proposals, standardize products, and develop category strategies that align with internal stakeholder requirements and market conditions. Responsibilities also include supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, financial performance monitoring, and leading cost‑reduction initiatives. • Manage design phase, estimating, and procurement for key projects • Interpret project plans and solicit manufacturer quotes • Assist design phase with material selection based on client needs • Maintain procurement log and create project‑specific purchase agreements • Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and collaborate with project teams • Standardize products and details across client portfolio to improve efficiency • Develop and implement category strategy, including spend analysis and sourcing plans • Engage internal stakeholders to capture category requirements • Conduct supplier business reviews and monitor quality and delivery performance • Lead contract negotiations and define total cost of ownership • Forecast, report, and mitigate commodity price inflation • Achieve material cost reductions and develop pricing strategies for proposals • Lead monthly and annual financial reviews for the category • Provide coaching, performance management, and lead by example

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, supply‑chain, construction management, or a related field and have at least five years of experience managing metal categories, negotiating contracts, and influencing early design decisions.
