About the Role
The Inspector position is based in the Metals Plant located in Chesterfield, MI, and operates on a three‑shift schedule. The role involves supporting production by ensuring parts meet quality standards and by providing accurate measurement data throughout the manufacturing process. • Approve initial parts for start‑up using various measurement tools. • Gather and report SPC data during production runs. • Complete inspection reports and audit production parts against criteria. • Notify personnel of any deviations from part specifications. • Verify raw material specifications as needed. • Perform sample layouts and physical property testing when required. • Create visual inspection aids for the production floor.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent experience, the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and operate inspection equipment, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to apply basic math and engineering concepts. A Hilo license must be obtained within the probationary period. • High school diploma or equivalent work experience. • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, instructions, and maintaining inspection equipment. • Ability to follow quality procedures and communicate findings in writing. • Obtain a Hilo license within the probationary period. • Apply basic mathematics, including fractions, ratios, logarithms, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
