Assist in fabricating and installing reinforced steel components on construction sites.

About the Role
Key duties involve identifying the tools needed for each task, assessing safety risks and implementing precautions, and fabricating equipment according to blueprints or supervisor directions. What You Bring
The helper reinforced ironworker role reports to a supervisor and does not have any direct reports. The position requires the ability to meet all physical requirements, work at heights exceeding 300 feet, and possess the necessary tools and reliable transportation. Candidates must have at least two years of reinforced ironworker helper experience and demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job. Preferred qualifications include current or former employment with Zachry, NCCER certification as an Industrial Journeyman Carpenter, formal technical education, and experience with scaffolding, insulation, and painting. The role demands frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting, with occasional lifts up to 50 pounds. Employees must communicate verbally, use their hands for signaling and handling materials, work at heights with proper fall protection, and operate in all weather conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, respirators, hi‑vis vests, gloves, and steel‑toed boots. • Must have 2+ years of helper reinforced ironworker experience • Must be able to work at heights over 300 ft • Must have reliable transportation • Former experience with Zachry Industrial, Inc. • NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter • Formal/technical education • Experience with scaffolding, insulation, and painting • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting • Communicate verbally and audibly • Lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed • Work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE • Wear PPE: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi‑vis vest, leather gloves, steel‑toed boots
