About the Role

Mortenson is hiring for two roles—a Talent Acquisition Specialist and a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist. Both positions serve as trusted advisors to hiring managers, supporting business objectives and fostering strong business relationships. In this role you will act as the Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups, develop and update staffing priorities, and design sourcing initiatives to attract top‑tier talent. You will conduct weekly relationship meetings, maintain staffing reports, source and staff open positions, partner with hiring managers on recruitment plans, negotiate external recruiting resources, perform reference checks, and manage employment offers. You will also employ direct recruiting, job fairs, and internet recruiting, and refer team members to headquarters services such as benefits and the drug‑free program. • Serve as Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups. • Develop and update staffing priorities. • Design and implement sourcing initiatives to attract top‑tier talent. • Conduct weekly customer relationship meetings and update staffing reports. • Partner with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans. • Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources. • Perform reference checks and extend employment offers. • Utilize direct recruiting, job fairs, and internet recruiting for talent sourcing. • Refer team members to headquarters services (benefits, issue resolution, drug‑free program). • Recommend hiring decisions to upper management.

What You Bring

Candidates must demonstrate a strong willingness to learn the business, recommend hiring decisions to senior leadership, and possess proficiency with PC software including Excel, Word, and HRIS databases. Effective communication, active listening, and openness to diverse input are required, along with intellectual curiosity and the ability to travel up to 25 %. Preferred experience includes renewables or manufacturing sectors. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and four years of recruiting/HR experience for the Talent Acquisition Specialist or seven years for the Senior role. • Proficient in Excel, MS Word, and HRIS/database systems. • Exhibit active listening, effective communication, and openness to diverse input. • Preferred experience in renewables or manufacturing sectors. • Travel up to 25% as needed. • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. • Minimum experience: 4 years (Talent Acquisition Specialist) or 7 years (Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist). • Visa sponsorship not provided; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Base pay ranges from $79,000 to $118,600 for the Talent Acquisition Specialist and $96,400 to $144,700 for the Senior role, with location adjustments and eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) plan with a generous company match, paid time off, employer‑paid life, AD&D and disability insurance, no‑cost mental health tools, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and a gym membership discount.
