About the Role

In this role you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers, using modern tools and procedures to maintain diesel and, at some locations, CNG vehicles. Your work ensures that the community receives reliable service every day. • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. • Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts. • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns. • Conduct safety checks on vehicles. • Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and repair times. • Assist senior mechanics in project work. • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards and follow established safety procedures. • Work performed in indoor garage/shop/gas plant and outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be over 18, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Physical ability to meet job demands and successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen and physical are also required. Successful team members are collaborative, care about their coworkers, enjoy working both independently and as part of a group, thrive on daily variety, and are determined problem solvers. The position involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and constant standing, walking, and grasping, with occasional sitting and balancing. Workers are exposed to occupational risks, dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes while operating in both indoor shop settings and outdoor environments.
