About the Role

The coil-winder is responsible for producing coils used in electrical equipment and instruments by following wiring diagrams, sample coils, or work orders and operating coil-winding machines and hand tools. The role requires interpreting engineering drawings, ensuring product quality, maintaining productivity standards, and keeping the work area organized while complying with safety, attendance, and U.S. export control regulations. • Wind standard coils for dry-type transformers using coil-winding machines. • Utilize hook-up/hot-work assembly tools to meet production demands. • Inspect coil dimensions, bus bar location, and overall quality for compliance. • Maintain at least 80% productivity time standards. • Interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints. • Keep all work areas clean, organized, and presentable.

What You Bring

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, reside within 50 miles of the site (military exemption applies), and hold a high school diploma or GED. The position demands physical stamina for lifting, standing, repetitive motions, and the ability to weld, braze, and use personal protective equipment. • Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform repetitive mallet shaping, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods. • Capability to weld, braze, and wear required personal protective equipment. • High school diploma or GED; 3+ years related experience preferred or 6+ months soldering/brazing/welding experience or a welding certificate. • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship; candidates within a 50-mile radius preferred (military exemption applies).
