About the Role

The role leads a global team of approximately 110 engineers, ensuring that current product support, future product development, and field support for customers are addressed. It is responsible for delivering high‑quality technical output on time and providing technical advice and guidance to the team while creating growth and development opportunities. The position drives product competitiveness by incorporating additive manufacturing design options and promoting robust design and an "analysis first" mindset. It establishes a global engineering strategy, works closely with specialized Centers of Excellence, and collaborates with legal staff to address proprietary rights and product liability concerns. Forecasting worldwide aircraft system activities and customer plans is essential to identify product opportunities and threats. The leader establishes action plans, monitors key engineering metrics, liaises with the Operational Excellence organization for cost reductions, and maintains close relationships with customers for application reviews, new requirements, and prototype qualification testing. • Lead ~110 global engineers overseeing product support, development, and field services. • Drive engineering efficiency using Model‑Based Definition (MBD) and Build‑to‑Print (BTP) practices. • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and employee satisfaction. • Ensure product designs are competitive, leveraging additive manufacturing and robust analysis. • Develop and execute global engineering strategy and tactical implementation plans. • Coordinate with Centers of Excellence, operational excellence, and legal teams. • Forecast market trends, define action plans, and monitor key engineering metrics. • Maintain customer relationships for requirements gathering, testing, and issue resolution. • Build university partnerships for advanced research and talent pipelines.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering (MBA preferred), at least fifteen years of experience in manufacturing or new product development, ten years in product development, and five years of people‑leadership experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, meet export‑control requirements, and possess strong skills in matrix organizations, technology planning, communication, and change management. • Hold a BS in Engineering (MBA preferred) with ≥15 years of relevant experience, including ≥10 years in new product development and ≥5 years leading teams. • Possess legal authorization to work in the U.S. and meet export‑control requirements. • Demonstrated experience in matrix organizations, technology planning, and driving change.
