About the Role
The Master Production Planner at AAON aligns production schedules with customer demand, inventory, and capacity, ensuring efficient material flow and optimal resource utilization across manufacturing operations. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to maintain high service levels while minimizing costs and delays, requiring strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and deep manufacturing knowledge. The planner develops and maintains the master production schedule, analyzes demand forecasts, inventory, and capacity constraints, and works closely with procurement, engineering, operations, and sales to ensure alignment. They monitor performance metrics, adjust schedules for demand or supply changes, and support new product introductions and process changes. Core responsibilities include creating a rolling production schedule, coordinating material availability, resolving scheduling conflicts, monitoring progress, using ERP and planning systems, driving continuous improvement, and communicating updates to stakeholders. The role also involves supervising team members and providing guidance as needed. • Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on demand forecasts and inventory targets. • Coordinate with supply chain and procurement to ensure timely material availability. • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints. • Monitor production progress and adjust plans to meet delivery commitments. • Support new product introductions and process changes with engineering and operations. • Utilize ERP (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel to manage data and generate reports. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency. • Communicate schedule updates and resolve issues with cross‑functional stakeholders. • Supervise and guide team members’ performance.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least seven years of progressive supply‑chain or operations experience, with preferred APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or a Master’s degree. Candidates must have strong manufacturing planning knowledge, ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel, analytical ability, excellent organization, communication, and knowledge of HVAC processes and lean methodologies. The position demands sustained attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, including occasional walking through production areas and handling stress. The work environment is primarily office‑based within a manufacturing facility, with occasional exposure to noise and machinery, and safety protocols must be followed. • Required: Bachelor’s degree + 7+ years supply‑chain/operations experience; APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred. • Proficiency in manufacturing planning, inventory control, and HVAC processes; lean methodology experience. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities. • Must tolerate extended computer work, occasional factory floor walk‑throughs, and variable noise/temperature.
