About the Role
The Gas Foreman leads a crew to install and repair natural gas pipelines and joint‑trench utilities for power and telephone, ensuring safety, productivity, pressure testing, and proper documentation. This role coordinates the line team, works with customers, senior management, and other departments, and oversees daily tasks, inspections, and communications. • Oversee and coordinate crew work to install natural gas pipelines via open‑cut or directional drill methods. • Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each job. • Ensure work quality, standards, and timeliness for each project. • Delegate daily digging and product‑placement tasks to crew members. • Secure site entry and coordinate utility locate calls for each project. • Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections. • Complete all paperwork promptly. • Train new hires and trainees in the trade. • Track employee hours and submit payroll on time. • Inspect existing utilities to verify proper identification, exposure, and compliance with customer specifications and company quality standards. • Drive, haul, and operate equipment to support crew work. • Keep jobs on schedule, perform site clean‑up, and restore the area after completion. • Communicate with customers and inspectors.

What You Bring
The position requires physical activity in field environments, including bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in extreme weather conditions. It also demands clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors while adhering to safety standards. • Minimum qualification: high school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum qualification: at least 3 years of gas pipeline construction or maintenance experience. • Minimum qualification: minimum 2 years of supervisory experience. • Minimum qualification: valid Class A CDL. • Minimum qualification: OSHA 10 certification. • Preferred qualification: 5+ years of gas pipeline construction experience. • Preferred qualification: Operator Qualification (OQ) certification. • Preferred qualification: pipe fusion certification. • Preferred qualification: DOT flagger certification. • Preferred qualification: First Aid and CPR certification.
