About the Role

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for complex problems, manage projects, and train and mentor service and contract technicians. Daily duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, leading and auditing preventative‑maintenance programs, installing and servicing relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors and motor starters, creating and closing work orders with detailed labor and parts data, and maintaining positive relationships across the Operations facility. The role also involves developing training plans for technicians, preparing emergency work plans for critical assets, and performing physical tasks such as moving up to 49 lb loads and standing or walking during 12‑hour shifts. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex maintenance problems and manage related projects. • Train, mentor, and develop work plans for service and contract technicians. • Promote safety and audit preventative‑maintenance procedures for conveyor systems. • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, control components, sensors, motor starters and related hardware. • Create and close work orders, documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used. • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 lb, standing/walking 12‑hour shifts, and traveling up to 20 % of time.

What You Bring

Physical demands involve repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, standing, and walking, lifting parts averaging 20 lb (up to 49 lb), and navigating small, dusty, noisy, hot or cold environments, including heights and uneven surfaces. Travel up to 20 % of the time is required. Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible schedule availability, at least three years of preventative‑maintenance experience, three years of blueprint and schematic reading, and two years of work‑order management. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, five years with automated conveyors and controls, leadership and vendor‑management experience, robotic maintenance, MHE safety standards knowledge, and experience with a CMMS. The position is on‑site in Lakeland, FL, does not provide visa sponsorship, and requires U.S. work authorization.
