Support construction activities, supervise crew, ensure safety and quality on projects.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Participate in and promote the project‑specific safety plan. • Perform self‑perform tasks as part of a skilled crew. • Build effective communication with foremen, journeymen, subcontractors and superintendents. • Apply proper equipment usage standards. • Collaborate with team members and practice Lean construction techniques. • Attend and contribute to weekly work‑plan and look‑ahead meetings. • Plan, execute, and report self‑perform work while updating supervisors. • Pre‑plan crew activities, manage look‑ahead schedules, and monitor crew size. • Support project safety compliance through training, toolbox talks and safety reviews. • Identify and implement cost‑improvement opportunities. • Assist with quality assurance/quality control and related documentation. • Perform material, other costs (MOC) and equipment analysis. • Coordinate with superintendents on packaging, contractor interaction, and inspections. • Participate in punch‑list completion, city inspections, and safety/quality reviews. • Lead or support Lean practices such as the Last Planner System. • Sequence and coordinate all craft trades during construction. • Execute work accurately, completely, and on schedule. • Assess and optimize project productivity and labor performance.

What You Bring
• Acquire on‑the‑job knowledge of best‑practice construction methods. • Understand and support various company functions and support roles. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Utilize MS Office and JE Dunn construction technology proficiently. • Apply knowledge of crane flagging, rigging, and construction management methods. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience. • Possess at least 2 years of construction experience; supervisory experience is a plus.
