About the Role

The Sr. Maintenance Technician supports the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repair of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment at assigned properties. This role requires a proactive approach to maintain building functionality and respond quickly to service requests. The position operates in a professional office environment and regularly utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Physical demands include moving about the workplace, standing, and extending arms while communicating and operating machinery. Shift work, on‑call duties, and occasional overtime may be required, especially during emergencies. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing building systems, including packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Install and modify building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment. • Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend upgrades or cost‑saving opportunities. • Apply knowledge of tools and equipment for facility and grounds maintenance. • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and perform preventive maintenance. • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and fire pumps. • Perform carpentry work and snow removal as needed. • Follow applicable codes, regulations, and company directives while practicing safe work habits. • Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web applications, and building automation systems. • Adhere to C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat appearance on and off property.

What You Bring

• Complete required C&W safety training annually. • Demonstrate technical proficiency. • Multi‑task effectively. • Hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Possess 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting. • Have technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. • Maintain a valid driver’s license (commercial may be required) with a good driving record. • Possess basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $28.90 to $34.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package covering health, vision, dental, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid time off. Pay is determined by factors such as location, experience, collective bargaining status, and market rates, and will not fall below minimum wage.
