About the Role
The Operator III is responsible for prepping machines for shift start‑up and product change, operating auxiliary equipment to produce various manufactured products, ensuring quality and production goals are met, and troubleshooting equipment as needed. The Operator III monitors and operates processing equipment with minimal supervision, assists higher‑level operators, uses measuring equipment to meet quality specifications, trains lower‑level operators, operates material handling equipment, updates shop‑floor management systems, identifies equipment malfunctions, collaborates with technicians for root‑cause analysis, and performs basic preventative maintenance. They visually check workstations for low supplies, pull and transport materials using appropriate handling equipment, notify supervisors of reorder levels, differentiate raw material types and part numbers, review bills of materials, and communicate any shortages. The Operator III tests and inspects produced products against quality specifications, reports non‑conforming items, follows non‑conforming product procedures, isolates or reworks defective items, inputs accurate data into the quality control system, and identifies raw materials that fail quality requirements. • Prep machines for shift start‑up and product changes. • Operate and monitor processing and auxiliary equipment to meet production goals. • Use measuring tools to verify quality specifications and perform product inspections. • Train lower‑level operators and assist higher‑level operators. • Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues. • Manage raw material supply: check inventories, transport materials, and communicate shortages. • Update shop‑floor management system and CIP boards as needed. • Follow non‑conforming product procedures, isolate/rework defective items, and record data in QC system. • Participate in 6S activities, workshops, and cross‑functional training. • Maintain high quality standards and a positive attitude.

What You Bring
Additional duties include 6S activities, workshops, meetings, and cross‑functional training. The role may require shift changes and the use of required PPE. Required knowledge includes basic literacy and arithmetic, manual dexterity, ability to perform repetitive tasks, effective communication, interpreting work orders and drawings, and maintaining high quality standards. A high school diploma or equivalent and 6‑12 months related experience are required; equivalent education/experience combinations are considered. • Work flexible shifts and wear required PPE. • Possess basic literacy, arithmetic, manual dexterity, and ability to read work orders/blueprints. • Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; 6‑12 months related experience (or equivalent).
