What You Bring

Synchrony® magnetic bearings deliver exceptional performance and stability in high‑speed, high‑temperature rotating equipment, providing reliability, low maintenance, and reduced total cost of ownership that conventional bearings cannot match. Synchrony designs and manufactures magnetic bearings and high‑speed motors for a broad range of markets. Johnson Controls acquired Synchrony in November 2019 to enhance the performance and efficiency of its centrifugal chiller products. The ideal candidate brings extensive manufacturing experience, strong technical education, and proven skills in solid‑modeling, tooling design, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, with additional exposure to rotating machinery and magnetic bearings considered an advantage. • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment. • 2‑year technical degree (required) or 4‑year engineering degree (preferred). • 5+ years using parametric solid‑modeling tools such as ProE, SolidWorks, or Unigraphics. • 5+ years designing and fabricating tooling and fixtures for manufacturing. • Extensive knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). • Experience with rotating machinery and magnetic bearings preferred. • Proficiency with machining equipment, including mills, lathes, and CNC machines.
