Job Highlights
About the Role
As a Commercial Manager you will manage the commercial aspects of the business area, supporting pre‑contract and operations, managing commercial risk and opportunity, ensuring accurate forecasts and adherence to commercial reporting procedures. You will also support project delivery through pre‑award, procurement and post‑award contract administration, monitor compliance with obligations and drive value from the supply chain, providing a cradle‑to‑grave commercial function for all work packages. • Conduct feasibility studies, advise on procurement strategies, and apply value management techniques early in projects. • Manage estimating and cost planning, own and present the final cost plan. • Negotiate and agree final accounts. • Serve as key interface with clients, stakeholders and consultants throughout project stages. • Administer contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract. • Identify and implement improvements to cost‑management procedures, templates and products to enhance client services. • Identify and improve internal systems and processes.

Our transportation consultancy team is growing, and we are seeking talented commercial management professionals with multi‑sector infrastructure experience for opportunities in Belfast. • Proven infrastructure sector experience. • Understanding of value management and programme development, ensuring delivery against key milestones. • Strong negotiating skills to secure outcomes with process‑led teams. • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships up to director level. • Degree in quantity surveying preferred (or other commercial discipline). • Professional memberships advantageous but not essential.
