About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for project leadership, commercial and contractual management, risk and safety governance, stakeholder engagement and technical coordination, ensuring compliance with Schneider Electric standards, local regulations and safety policies while driving profitability and customer satisfaction. • Lead full lifecycle of complex customer projects across all technology scopes. • Drive project strategy, execution, delivery quality and customer outcomes. • Ensure project activities comply with Schneider Electric standards, regulations and safety policies. • Own project P&L, manage margins, cash flow and commercial performance. • Perform accurate cost reporting, forecasting and financial risk analysis. • Manage contractual obligations, claims, variations and commercial negotiations. • Identify, assess and mitigate technical, commercial and delivery risks throughout the project. • Enforce rigorous safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture. • Support internal governance processes and maintain high‑quality documentation and compliance. • Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Sales, Tendering, Supply Chain, Finance and Business leaders. • Proactively engage external stakeholders such as customers, partners, contractors and suppliers. • Maintain strong customer relationships with transparency, communication and satisfaction focus. • Leverage Engineering and Business Unit expertise to ensure robust design, delivery and integration. • Facilitate knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and best practice adoption within the Large Projects team.

Schneider Electric Ireland is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Large Customer Projects team, which delivers the most complex customer projects across all technology scopes in the country, including MV & LV equipment, building management, power monitoring, automation and datacentre solutions. The role involves leading strategic, high‑value projects end‑to‑end, working with diverse stakeholders and supported by expert engineering talent to achieve outstanding technical and commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate has extensive project management experience in electrical, controls, automation or contracting industries, a proven record of delivering large‑scale multidisciplinary projects, strong commercial, contractual and financial management skills, and the ability to manage risk and governance effectively. Desirable attributes include experience with equipment vendors or construction environments, an engineering degree, relevant certifications such as PMP or Prince2, and familiarity with Schneider Electric’s technology portfolio. • Essential: Project management experience in electrical, controls, automation or contracting industries. • Essential: Strong teamwork, collaboration and high‑performance project culture commitment. • Essential: Proven delivery of large‑scale, complex multidisciplinary projects. • Essential: Strong commercial, contractual and financial management skills. • Essential: Strong risk management and project governance capability. • Desirable: Experience with equipment vendors, software solutions providers or construction/contracting environments. • Desirable: BEng/MEng engineering qualification (electrical, mechanical, civil, software, etc.). • Desirable: Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2 or equivalent. • Desirable: Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s technology portfolio or similar platforms.
