About the Role
The technician will calibrate and certify test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) to NIST‑traceable standards, troubleshoot, isolate faults, adjust, and repair complex TMDE and integrated electronic systems, and conduct uncertainty analysis while developing procedures. What You Bring
This SkillBridge internship is for a Metrology Technician in KBR’s Embedded Metrology Laboratories, supporting customers such as Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advanced Motion, and others. The role involves laboratory site visits, test equipment calibrations and repairs, pyrometry services, metrology engineering, equipment inspection, and CMM inspections. Applicants must be active‑duty military eligible for the SkillBridge program, have completed formal training from a military, PMEL, TMDE or calibration school, and hold an AS degree or equivalent technical certifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Met/Track, or Met/Cal is a plus, as is prior customer service experience. U.S. citizenship is required due to client specifications. • Calibrate and certify TMDE to NIST‑traceable standards. • Hold an AS degree or technical training from military, PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school. • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with IndySoft and Fluke Met tools preferred. • U.S. citizenship required for client compliance.
