About the Role
The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures that maintain operational uptime of mission‑critical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life‑safety, and energy management systems across the client’s global portfolio. The role collaborates closely with facilities management, engineers, and IT to support both business‑critical and mission‑important facilities. A core objective of the position is to drive the client’s energy initiatives, delivering data‑based recommendations and strategies that reduce energy consumption and related resource costs. The manager acts as the primary point of contact for energy‑management decisions, ensuring the client receives accurate information to guide actions. Key responsibilities include providing engineering and technical oversight for assigned facilities, conducting annual reviews of critical sites, and maintaining open communication with the facility management team. The manager oversees matrix‑level guidance for technical staff, ensures equipment maintenance aligns with manufacturer recommendations, local codes, and corporate policies, and partners with regional facilities managers and the Global Operations Director on budget control and forecasting. Additional duties involve designing and supervising preventative‑maintenance programs, coordinating with IT on critical‑operations systems, reporting abnormal conditions, reviewing plans for equipment upgrades, delivering training on building standards, and managing the client’s Building Management System and Energy Intelligence tools. Monthly critical‑operations reports are compiled and submitted for each facility. In the energy‑management domain, the manager leads data collection, opportunity prioritization, strategy development, and project execution to meet assigned energy goals. Responsibilities include creating energy‑management policies, analyzing utility bills and load profiles, assisting with operating and capital budgeting, monitoring conservation project results, and working with facilities engineers to maximize equipment efficiency. The role also supervises sustainability staff and consultants, guiding initiatives that advance the client’s sustainability objectives. • Provide engineering, critical operations and technical oversight for all assigned facilities • Review engineering and critical operations for large or critical sites annually and as required • Collaborate closely with the facility management team to ensure effective communication • Offer matrix‑level oversight and advise technical staff; assess engineering staff with Facilities Managers • Maintain critical equipment per manufacturer recommendations, local codes, building standards, and company policies • Partner with Regional Facilities Managers to control budgets and forecast contracts and major operations • Oversee design and implementation of preventative maintenance programs aligned with industry best practices • Maintain effective communications with IT regarding critical operations systems • Report abnormal or critical conditions immediately to Facility Management and the Global Operations Director • Review and guide plans for equipment upgrades, infrastructure additions, and building improvements, overseeing vendors and contractors • Develop and deliver training materials and programs related to building operating standards • Provide oversight for the client’s BMS and Energy Intelligence tools and become an expert user • Compile, maintain, and submit monthly critical operations reports for each facility • Lead data collection, opportunity prioritization, strategy development, and project execution for energy management goals • Develop effective energy management policies and recommend energy conservation applications • Analyze utility bills and energy load profiles to identify usage trends and manage costs • Assist in operating and capital budget preparation by projecting resource needs and funding priorities • Monitor and analyze results of energy conservation projects • Work with facilities managers and engineers to maintain equipment at optimal efficiency • Coordinate consultants for energy management activities and projects • Manage sustainability staff and consultants to support sustainability initiatives • Professional interaction with clients, senior management, staff, and vendors

What You Bring
Required competencies include strong computer proficiency, leadership, teamwork, prioritization, and excellent communication skills capable of translating complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences. Professional interaction with clients, senior management, staff, and vendors is essential. Candidates must hold a four‑year degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, and possess at least ten years of industry experience, including three to five years in a comparable role. Preferred qualifications include LEED accreditation, experience with high‑performance building programs, knowledge of DOE Energy Star, and a proven track record of implementing energy‑efficiency retrofits and meeting KPI targets. • Excellent computer skills • Leadership, managerial, teamwork, prioritization and interpersonal skills • Strong communication ability to convey complex technical information to non‑technical audiences • Four‑year college degree required • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred • Minimum ten years of industry experience, with three to five years in a comparable role • LEED accreditation preferred • Experience managing a High‑Performance Building program • Working knowledge of DOE Energy Star program • Experience developing and implementing retrofit projects to improve energy efficiency in data centers, HVAC, refrigeration, and lighting • Familiarity with Supplier Business Review process and KPIs to consistently meet performance targets

Benefits
The position offers a salary range of $110,500 to $130,000, comprehensive benefits such as health, vision, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off, and adheres to equal‑opportunity employment policies.
