About the Role

The Senior Manager will lead Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and fleet-related regulatory compliance for Mastec Renewables, providing enterprise‑level oversight to ensure adherence to federal, state, and company standards. This role serves as a senior subject‑matter expert and escalation point, partnering with Equipment, Safety, Operations, HR, Legal, and regulatory agencies to reduce risk and support safe, efficient field operations. Key responsibilities include governing the enterprise DOT compliance framework, coordinating documentation across multiple functions, acting as the primary liaison during DOT audits and inspections, and leading internal audits with trend analysis and corrective action planning. The manager will establish compliance metrics, maintain fleet DOT standards, oversee CSA BASIC tracking, ensure post‑incident processes are consistently executed, and provide training and guidance to regional teams and drivers. • Govern enterprise DOT compliance framework in line with FMCSA and state regulations. • Coordinate DOT documentation and programs across Equipment, Safety, HR, and Operations. • Serve as primary liaison for DOT audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries. • Lead internal DOT audits, trend analysis, and corrective action planning across regions. • Establish and monitor DOT compliance metrics for risk exposure and audit readiness. • Maintain fleet-related DOT compliance standards and procedures with Equipment and Safety leadership. • Oversee CSA BASIC compliance tracking and develop action plans for risk areas. • Ensure consistent post‑incident processes, documentation, and follow‑up. • Provide oversight and guidance to regional DOT and fleet compliance activities. • Deliver DOT compliance training for drivers, supervisors, safety staff, and field leadership. • Verify DOT‑regulated maintenance and inspection records are accurate and audit‑ready. • Advise Equipment and Operations leadership on compliance risks and mitigation strategies. • Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition on role requirements and training expectations. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce regulatory risk and operational disruption.

What You Bring

Qualified candidates should have an associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least seven years of progressive DOT or fleet compliance leadership experience, preferably supporting multi‑region or large fleet operations. Essential skills include strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management systems, the ability to analyze trends and drive corrective actions, and excellent communication skills to influence senior leaders. • Minimum seven years of progressive DOT/fleet compliance or regulatory leadership experience. • Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet/construction management systems. • Ability to analyze trends, assess risk, and implement corrective actions. • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence senior leaders. • Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
