About the Role

In this role you will manage every phase of assigned projects—from pre‑construction and bid award through construction and close‑out—by coordinating with designers, public agencies, district staff, and contractors. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets and schedules, reviewing submittals and change orders, administering professional service agreements, and ensuring project certification with the Division of State Architects. • Oversee all project phases from pre‑construction through close‑out for K‑12 schools in LAUSD. • Review and comment on pre‑construction documents and coordinate with designers and public agencies. • Manage project budget and schedule, monitoring monthly to meet district standards. • Supervise contractor daily activities, review schedules and submittals, and address RFCs. • Negotiate and approve contractor change order proposals while evaluating schedule impacts. • Administer professional service agreements and coordinate delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment. • Ensure project certification with the Division of State Architects and complete financial close‑out.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management, or be able to obtain a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one year. A minimum of ten years of full‑time construction project management experience is required, with at least three years leading complex educational projects valued over $10 million, and experience in design‑build, BIM, LEED/CHPS, and DSA processes is highly preferred. • Hold a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management (or obtain CCM within one year). • Minimum ten years of construction project management experience, including three years on $10M+ educational projects. • Design‑build, BIM, LEED/CHPS, and DSA process experience preferred. • Preferred certifications: CCM, PE, RA, AIA.
