About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager by overseeing daily operations and financial functions, managing rent collection and delinquency, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards and fair‑housing regulations. • Post and reconcile daily resident payments, charges, and end‑of‑month financial reports. • Monitor delinquent accounts, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and process evictions. • Supervise onsite staff, handling hiring, training, coaching and compliance with company policies. • Drive leasing performance by showing units, processing applications and executing marketing plans. • Address resident complaints, develop retention programs, and maintain high satisfaction levels. • Oversee property appearance, maintenance requests, regular inspections, and vendor coordination. • Maintain accurate resident records, audit files and manage utility bill‑back processes. • Ensure adherence to Fair Housing, OSHA and all safety and liability guidelines.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high‑school diploma (a bachelor’s degree is preferred) and 1–2 years of housing‑industry experience or an equivalent mix of education and training, along with basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA requirements. The role requires regular on‑site attendance, the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift and move objects up to 25 lb, climb ladders or stairs, and work overtime, weekends or nights in varied temperatures and environments, including exposure to hazardous chemicals.
