About the Role

In this senior engineering position you will lead the engineering of control panels for gas/steam turbine‑driven generators, compressors, and motor‑driven equipment, coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring projects meet schedule, cost, and quality targets. • Apply engineering concepts to gas‑steam turbine and motor‑driven projects with a focus on cost optimization. • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans. • Collaborate with cross‑functional and cross‑disciplinary teams. • Design unit control panels according to customer specifications, regulations, and internal guidelines; mentor staff. • Select bill of materials for PLCs and control‑panel components. • Produce purchase specifications and coordinate with suppliers to meet project schedules. • Prepare basic engineering drawings such as panel layout, network architecture, and power‑supply scheme. • Develop detailed drawings including I/O lists, functional descriptions, cause‑and‑effect, functional specs, and logic diagrams. • Ensure control‑panel wiring and construction drawings are reviewed, finalized, and delivered to customers. • Create control‑valve and flow‑element data sheets and support sourcing for technical alignment and PO issuance. • Work with sourcing, quality, project management, and other engineering functions globally to ensure smooth execution. • Conduct regular project reviews, assess risks, and implement mitigation plans for quality and timely delivery. • Participate in kickoff meetings, design reviews, drawing finalization, HAZOP, and SIL assessment meetings. • Support software validation and factory acceptance tests at the panel manufacturer, ensuring customer satisfaction. • Provide input to product standardization for quality and process improvement. • Drive engineering suppliers to deliver quality work on time.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a BE/B.Tech or ME/MTech in a relevant instrumentation or electrical discipline, brings at least eight years of control‑systems design experience in power or oil‑and‑gas, and possesses strong teamwork and communication skills. • Hold a BE/B.Tech or ME/MTech in Instrumentation & Controls, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronics & Instrumentation, or equivalent. • Minimum 8 years of experience in control systems design, operation, and maintenance in the power or oil & gas industry. • Experience with control‑panel design and familiarity with PLC/DCS and turbomachinery equipment. • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for kickoff meetings, design reviews, HAZOP, and FAT. • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
