Pre and Post Contract Assistant
Support pre/post contract tasks for high‑rise residential rehab project.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The role is responsible for supporting the area/team using basic, established technical capabilities. • Apply value management techniques at the outset of projects • Assist in estimating and cost planning activities • Observe procurement and selection of the main contractor • Assist in preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses • Measure and provide valuations of work carried out, adjusting variations per contract terms • Assist cost control and reporting services during the contract • Identify costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges • Observe and assist in evaluating claims for delay and additional costs from contractors or subcontractors • Provide guidance on certificates of making good defects and final completion requirements • Provide informal guidance to junior staff • Develop working relationships with a range of internal stakeholders • Work with team members to deliver operational aspects of team/regional strategy
